Some photos of a dive trip to Sabang Bay near the town of Puerto Galera in the Philipinnes. This is a banded sea snake that we followed up a wall, over a flat, and then up to the surface. I caught him just as he was passing another diver on the way to the surface. It is amazing there are no bubbles obscuring the snake in the photo!

Puerto Galera Sabang Beach Resorts And Scuba DivingDived Canyons as the first dive today with a smaller group than normal as a couple of the group were suffering from last nights excesses. Great drift dive with lots of bigger fish about huge bat fish, grouper and snapper everywhere, the canyons were great to duck into when you wanter to get out of the current. If you like nudibranch spotting you will be in your element here, some incredible colours and a huge variety.
Dive 2, Manilla channel loads of Bat Fish and juvinile Sweet Lips, at least 6 varieties of Clown Fish and a big shole of convict blennie a great relaxing dive with hardly any current great for photography.Dive 3, We leave the centre in a monsoon, you know its raining when you have to put your mask on on the surface to see through it. 7 grinning divers and a boatman who is getting stung to pieces by the rain getting his revenge by driving us into any large wave he can find.
Vis not as good on this dive due to the run off from the rain but still loads of macro life to photograph and another great dive to end the day on.We are now off to the restaurant for dinner then to the bar to see the presentation on John Bennets world record dive to 308m that was done here at Atlantis, Puerto Galera and have a overview of tomorrows trip to Verde Island. (Nik arrived for the last few minutes another massage??).
